Freddy is the result of our interest in producing an FEI dressage horse by Don Frederico, a phenomenal Hanoverian stallion who achieved a dressage index of 151 points during his stallion test.  He competed in the Bundeschampionate as a 5- and a 6-year old and was the first state stud stallion to compete in the Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals.  Don Frederico was named 2012 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year.   He is known to cross exceptionally well with Weltmeyer dam lines which led us to partner him with Elite Mare Wruffian Q an exceptional Weltmeyer granddaughter.  

Freddy has exceeded our expectations.   Well beyond his exceptional uphill movement which consistently earns him 9's and some 10's from USDF judges at recognized shows, Freddy has exceptional rideability, trainability and work ethic.    In his 1st under saddle show season, he earned 4th place at the national USEF Young Horse Dressage Championships and was Region 3 Champion at Training Level.   In his 2nd competition year, Freddy was named Champion USDF Horse of the Year in two divisions (1st Level with a median score of 76.5% and 4/5 yo Material with a median score of 87.7%).   As a 7 year old, Freddy debuted at Prix St. Georges with scores to 67.8%.   He was the youngest horse in the USDF Region 3 championship PSG Open class ridden by a rider who was the youngest professional in the class.

Don Frederic HVH did not show in 2016-2019 due to owner's health.  He has been schooled at 3rd level intermittently during these years.  He returned to full professional training in Aug.2020 and returned to competition at 3rd Level in Oct.2020 while schooling PSG.  Freddy is ready to go to a loving performance home to continue his FEI development with a Young Rider or Adult Amateur.   He has a full set of clean baseline Xrays (multiple views of 12 joints) and will pass a vetting.
