Der Mondschatten HVH (aka “Moon Shadow”) is bred for FEI dressage.  His sire, Don Frederico (Donnerhall) is an exceptional Hanoverian dressage stallion winner of his stallion licensing with a dressage breeding index of 174 and participated in the Bundeschampianate as both a 5yo and a 6yo. EM Rebellienne HVH was the USDF Horse of the Year in her 3 year old year (Champion under saddle and Reserve Champion in-hand) and who achieved the 2013 USEF Young Horse Dressage Champion 4yo and numerous regional championships. Rebellienne is currently showing Prix St. Georges in parallet toproducing youngsters such as Moon Shadow via Embryo Transfer.

Moon Shadow is a tall, elegant youngster with exceptional uphill gaits, a loving and inquisitive temperament and presence.  He has superior character and superb trainability and ground manners.  He is a very talented young dressage horse and certainly will be one to watch as he begins his competition career. 

The storyline behind Der Mondschatten’s name (which means “the Moon Shadow” in German) is that he was born the day prior to a full solar eclipse (a Moon Shadow).

Moon Shadow has numerous talented relatives produced at High Valley Hanoverians.  He is out of EM Rebellienne HVH who was 2013 USEF 4yo Young Horse Dressage Champion, 2012 USDF Horse of the Year for 3 yo materiale and Reserve Champion USDF HOY in-hand the same year.   His aunt, Radiance HVH, accomplished a phenomenal score of 8.78, the 2nd highest score the Hanoverians have EVER given in the USA and his half-brother Don Frederic HVH is a dual USDF Horse of the Year as well as having twice participated in the USEF Young Horse Championships.   He also has a full brother, Der Sternschnuppe HVH.
