Defiance HVH is bred for FEI dressage.  His sire, Dancier (DeNiro) is an exceptional Hanoverian dressage stallion, winner of his stallion licensing with a dressage index of 158, qualified twice for the German National Championships and became successful in FEI dressage by the age of 8.   Among his dozens of licensed sons, two exceptional stallion sons are out of Rotspon dams, which prompted us to cross Dancier with EM Rebellienne HVH (Rotspon).  Rebellienne was the USDF Horse of the Year in her 3 year old year (Champion under saddle and Reserve Champion in-hand) and who achieved the 2013 USEF Young Horse Dressage Champion 4yo title.
 

Defiance is an exceptional gelding with an elegant stature, exceptional uphill gaits, a loving and inquisitive temperament and presence galore.  He has superior character, exceptional gaits and superb trainability.   He is a very talented young dressage horse and certainly will be one to watch as he begins his competition career.
 

The storyline behind Defiance's name is a thread initiated by his talented dam, EM Rebellienne HVH.   Rebellienne is a super uncomplicated mare and is anything but rebellious.   Defiance is a sweet gelding with a playful spirit and exceptional ground manners.  :)

Defiance has numerous talented aunts/uncles and is out of EM Rebellienne HVH who was 2013 4yo Young Horse Dressage Champion, 2012 USDF Horse of the Year for 3 yo materiale and Reserve Champion USDF HOY in-hand the same year.   His aunt, Radiance HVH, accomplished a phenomenal score of 8.78, the 2nd highest score the Hanoverians have EVER given in the USA and his uncle, Hadrian HVH is a spectacular young dressage gelding who twice was invited to the USEF Young Horse Championships.
