About Us

High Valley Hanoverians is a warmblood mare & foal station nestled in a beautiful mountain top valley in the North Georgia foothills of the Appalachian mountains. The fresh mountain air, lush pastures and sparkling mountain streams make this a peaceful and healthy setting to raise exceptional your sport horses.

The High Valley Hanoverian breeding objective is to produce exceptional European quality sport horses with with incredible temperaments and trainability well-suited for adult amateur or young rider dressage, hunter and jumper equitation. The strategy to meet this objective is to:

• Start with exceptional broodmares of superior bloodlines and match them with some of the finest Hanoverian stallions in Germany and the USA. Our mares are mostly Elite or States Premium Hanoverian mares and select warmblood mares who are accepted into the Hanoverian mare registry.
  
  
• Superior nutrition plan coupled with plenty of exercise in large fields where youngsters and mares can socialize and play in a healthy manner. Each individual is fed in a private stall to ensure that they get exactly the nutrition they need and with plenty of hands-on attention.
  
  
• Establish training as an enjoyable part of the daily life of all of our horses. This includes imprint training a day after birth reinforced with daily ground training, introduction to age-appropriate training tasks beginning at the suckling age and then gentle introduction to an enjoyable cross-training program. This training program provides the foundation for our youngsters to develop a mild temperament and a willing, engaging attitude that will enable them to become loving equestrian partners.
  

In addition to their corporate careers, Annetta and Charlie Coleman are active in the daily management of the horses and operation. Annetta manages the breeding, foaling and marketing activities in addition to afternoon feeding and weekend chores. Additionally she participates in ground training, free-schooling, backing and combined training of the horses under saddle. Charlie manages the grounds, fences and buildings.
